help with polisher?

i have just purchased a polisher for my car which comes with three different coloured polishing sponges could anyone explain to me which sponge to use first , whether or not to use some kind of wetting agent when applying polish as i have used one dry with polish and it has started to break up , i really need some technical help and a full explanation of when and how to use these sponge heads, thank you .

you only need 2. normally white first with a compound called g3. that gets rid of orange peel,mild scratches,sun fade paint work, the second best sponge to use is normally black and it will be bobbled texture really soft sponge. use g10 fine grade polish. that gives you a high glace shine on your car, then give it a coat of wax
